Rev Canon Steve Lillicrap
I grew up in a Christian family, and came to faith at the age of 12 at a camp in Norfolk. Since then it has been an exciting time walking with God, not without its difficulties, but a journey full of God’s blessings. I have a real desire to see others cone to know Jesus as their friend and saviour.
I am married to Jane and we have 3 grown up sons and we have 11 grandchildren. I came to the ordained ministry after being a General Practitioner, in Margate, for 18 years. It is a wonderful privilege to serve God in these two different ways, although there are many similarities. I continue to be involved in the Christian healing ministry, seeing it very much as fully part of being church.

I have loved being part of church family since I was a little girl, and became a Christian when I was fifteen. I have been actively involved in church ministry, outreach, evangelism, youth and children’s work ever since. I love using the gifts God has given me and especially love to sing.
I have a gorgeous family (terribly biased). Dan, my husband, and children; Bethany, Reuben Lily and Jude - all adults and at the stage of working out where they want to be in life.
I love walking or running with our dog, Millie, a spot of knitting or crochet if I have time and being by the sea.
Authorised Lay Ministers (ALM)
I’ve lived about 400 yards (or metres if you prefer) from the church for the last 29 years and have been leading worship at Teynham for most of that time and now regularly visit other churches in the parish occasionally, so James, my dog, gets only a short walk on Sundays. I have a great passion for for opera and so if you come on a Sunday to church when I am choosing the hymns you should get a good selection of singable hymns (both trad and mod). I’ve been daft enough to volunteer to be lay-chair of Ospringe Deanery Synod (twice!) but it’s work I enjoyed but now leave that to others! The rest of the team are all perfectly normal people, I just hope I am as well!

Hi – I’m Jo.
As a young adult I became a committed Christian and have since enjoyed serving God with my husband, Tim, and our family, working for nearly 30 years in the field of social care.
Now, a busy wife, mother, foster carer and keen musician.
I’m also organist and worship leader at Lynsted, and part of the parish leadership team, with key duties at the weekly modern style Sunday night ‘Breakthrough’ service at Lynsted.
I’m an active member of the local ‘Malawi Project’ and was responsible for starting the Lynsted Youth Club which is now Way2b and which now meets every other Friday night in the church.
I enjoy cooking for large numbers, making curtains, reading and falling asleep by the fire when I get the chance!
